ABOUT ME

MY STORY

Growing up, I remember Sundays when my parents would sit together making white fabric flowers. They met during a high school summer job at a bridal shop, where they handcrafted flowers, and even as adults, they continued this hobby for special occasions. I can still picture beads and white satin everywhere. For them, it was a joyful pastime; for me, it was a way to glam up my Barbies, which eventually inspired my career.

After graduating, I discovered a passion for professional makeup artistry, which opened even more doors in the fashion industry, from magazine covers to producing classes for well-known modeling agencies.

With a desire for new challenges, I moved to New York to improve my English. When the pandemic created uncertainty in fashion, I explored a new path by completing training in UX design. This transition has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to blend my passion for design with technology and work from anywhere in the world.

At 18 I landed my first job as a wardrobe assistant for national television, organizing backstage for shows like Dancing with the Stars, all while studying design and taking extra photography classes. —My mom still jokes about how I as a kid joined every school club available. For me, it just reflects my curious nature.

One of my most exciting opportunities was being selected as one of four Costa Rican designers to work live backstage with Justin Bieber’s wardrobe team. I’ve also contributed to projects like Cirque du Soleil, Rai Italia, Taco Bell commercials, Holi One Festival & more.

“Briana is very professional, and a pleasure to work with.  I have received compliments for dresses she has made for me.  Further, she is very reliable and conscientious. We highly recommend her work”.
